What a tremendous message from Rev. Bob! One thing that hit me so hard as he was speaking was when he talked about God directing our path and bringing "creatures" across our path to talk to. While he was saying that, I had a flash of several people I had started conversations with while in the store, all the while trying to find a way to shift the conversation to share with them the goodness of God and couldn't figure it out and ended up leaving without getting to that point. (That's happened many, many times as I am pursuing talking to people regularly) But as Rev. Bob was speaking I saw these specific people and I heard different ways I could have shifted the conversation or at least kept it going in order to shift it.

Sometimes I'm thinking in a hurry instead of reading the clues of people and seeing where they are; instead I'm assuming they aren't wanting me to keep on talking to them. Simply wrong mindsets that have been so embedded in me for so long. I finally realized that I have been believing for so long that people don't want to hear anything I have to say so I try not to say too much. I have witnessed more times than I care to count, people almost sighing or taking a breath when I started talking, like "Oh, there she goes again". And I'm not talking about strangers, I'm talking people I know and see regularly. It had made me want to just keep quiet and the enemy has been using that full on against me. I finally had to say enough is enough and talk to people anyway.

I know that God is directing my path, as Rev. Bob talked about and I know now that He is bringing people across my path for me to talk to. I am now more aware of that and finally gave out a card after not giving one out for about two and half weeks. It's still not easy or comfortable but the difference is that I don't care.

I agree Elder Christy this was a powerful message that convicted me to go and talk to strangers even more than I already do. We truly are in the days of judgement just as Noah was. Noah was a preacher of righteousness and I believe that BAM is a Ministry of Righteousness during this time telling people to repent and come to the knowledge of the whole truth of God.
What really struck me was that during the time of judgement Noah was building a boat. A question came to my mind was: "What kind of boat am I and what type of boat am I building?" I want to be a fishing vessel equipped to go and bring in a harvest for the Lord. A fishing vessel is not only one person but many people focused on doing what ever is necessary under any conditions to bring a harvest of fish back to the shore. A yacht is a boat that looks great on the inside and outside but is not equipped to bring in a harvest for God. It's sole purpose is to pamper people, cater to their needs, and allow them to ignore the realities of life. A spiritual yacht allows people to escape the reality of life for a short period of time but never changing their mind about their state of eternity.
I am purposed to talk to strangers to get them into the fishing vessel to keep them from the impending judgement that is here.

Elder Christy : It is a development of people skills to line up with God's Word. I am reminded of Jesus recruiting the disciples. His message was leave what you are doing and I will make you fishers of men. Ours is: Check this place out because I became a fisher of men here.

Minister Ryan: I like the analogy! Is our boat a well maintained boat, equipped with fishing equipment that is always at the ready? Or Is it just a rusty vessel floating through life without purpose.

Also what about when Jesus told the disciples to let down the net on the other side? If we are listening to the Holy Spirit we will find that God tells us just where to set the net.

Roll on my brothers and sisters! or should I say "Fish" on!

Min. Ryan, I absolutely love your analogy of the fishing boat versus a yacht. The majority of my life if I was asked what type of boat I would rather be on, without hesitation I would have said a yacht. But God has been doing such a work in my heart over the last few years and especially the last couple of months, that on Wednesday night service when you prayed about the fishing boat or the yacht and then Bishop came up and told us that from next Tuesday night on we would be blessed; immediately I heard myself say to the Lord, "I just want souls". This was the first time in my entire life that those words came before anything else as my hearts desire. I've had those words but never first until now.

When I heard myself say them, I knew the change God had been working in my heart has truly taken place and my priorities are finally right. I truly want to be a fishing vessel.

What an amazing message from Rev. Bob! As I was driving this week I started singing the song, "The enemy has been defeated, and death could not hold me down..." It just reminded me that I can have victory if I choose.

Especially with my truck giving me a major test this week. How I respond will decide whether I have victory or let the enemy defeat me. Plus, how I respond will determine how others see God in me. Just like our prayer focus tonight, in His presence we can have joy, peace, etc... In His presence, death can not hold me down and I know I win with my God.

    Minister Ryley
You are right on! You may want to think on this. As God says "I am" We can say it as well. I am a child of the living God A son of God representing Him on this earth! Therefore I a=have the authority of my Father to be an overcomer and infact I have already overcome in Jesus name. The point is we are. that is why I prayed Ephesians the other inight, to emphasize that God's Grace has equipped us to operate in this earth with the Word !
I pray father that Ryleys truck will be a great tool for him as he talks to strangers in Jesus name Amen!
    Roll on with Jesus!
