One of the last statements Rev. Bob made was, "Our lives hang in the balance on how we walk in these last days." This really makes me think. How am I walking? Am I sleepwalking or walking while awake? I think a large percentage of people are sleepwalking and I'm quite sure there are days when I am too. Rev. Bob brought out that sleep is also being numb, not alert, and indifferent. I can honestly say that there are days when I have walked around indifferent to other people around me and it was all because of something else Rev. Bob said, "Self keeps you asleep" or in others words indifferent or numb. So when the days I am so wrapped up in myself and what's going on in my life, I totally miss other people and whatever God may want to do in their life. The thing I have found is that denying self or getting over self is not a one time thing and then it's done, no, it's a daily thing. I suppose that is why Yeshua said to deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Him. We won't take up our cross, we won't follow Him where He is going, if we are still so self focused that we cannot see anything or anyone else.

Thank you Rev. Bob for causing me to really take a look and make sure I'm not just sleepwalking my days away but really being awake and peculiar so that I will do what someone else won't do; like pray for someone having a panic attack instead of just walking away minding my own business. Today, to many people think minding your own business is the right way to live. This message helped remind me and everyone else that being peculiar is God's way to live.

What a great message Rev. Bob! One of verses that came to my mind during this message really spoke to me about myself: Romans 13:11-12 11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light! Elder Christy touched upon this scripture a few weeks ago and I gained more revelation of it from this message. I really began to examine myself and ask the question when am I asleep to the Lord? I saw an immediate distinction in the amount of time that I spend praying and studying the Word affects how awake I am to the Lord. Being outside the presence of God dulls our senses to Him and chokes the Word that is inside of us which means I become more aware of my carnal nature then Christ in me. When I am really awake to God, I put off the works of darkness, for me being passive aggressive and not being very compassionate at times and go about being a witness for God. Being awake to the presence of God causes my life to be richer and fuller but for others around me as well! How peculiar we really are could become someone's life saver when they run to ask us "what must I do to be saved??" Not that we become the Savior but we are just the one who throws them the life jacket to get onto the ark to be saved!!
So many "Christians" today are awake to religion and man's traditions but asleep to the power and presence of God. When we who are awake begin to speak to someone sleeping, they will either push the snooze button so we shut up for a while or while respond alertly and say "We have never heard that before!" I say this as a testimony that happened this past Saturday which I will share at a later date...
Loved the message and is forcing me to stay awake to God and not fall asleep spiritually to His presence.

You can't expose something if you are a part of it. one I'm a part of something quite often my perspective gets off, in order for me to expose I either need to be removed from what I was apart of, or it has to be something that i have never been a part of. When I'm a part of something or when i get something in my head; then when other try to expose something that is wrong, I usually done hear with open ears.

I'm sorry to say that as i look at my life in the past year or so, I can see that I have been asleep. I do have many testimonies of what God has done in my life but the have not been very active in the past while.

Pride, I often find myself relying on what I know about fixing things, other that asking God for His wisdom before I start to fix something. Most of the time when I ask Him first everything goes much smoother.

Great message Rev. Bob. when I was a child I used to sleep walk all the time, when others would tell me what I did we would all get a laugh out of it. But sleepwalking when we should be God walking is another story. I am going to start looking around me, or at least I am going to try looking around me as I am shopping or just going for a walk, to see if there is something or someone God wants me to talk to. So when I start going for those walks when the weather permits, I am going to start God walking.

    Elder Christy

I really appreciate what you are saying and it brought around the thought of being distracted by the world and what is going on in life. Does that lull us to the sleep/numbness? it is another aspect of this,. If we fall into the distraction it takes us out of the Kingdom into the dark world.

    Minister Ryan

Another excellent point! Religion, the traditions of man make the Word of God to no effect. It could say the traditions of man make the people go numb/sleep. Absolutely right they will either roll over and stay asleep or wake up and see their life radically changed !

    Deacon Heath
that is the part I really liked because I am talking to so many people that think they can just keep on doing the same thing as the world and be a witness. The word Holy means set apart and God calls us to be set apart so that the contrast convicts those that do not know Him. Just tell your story because He is the painter and it is His story and you are the canvas .

    Becky

the day I said I'll go where You want me to go, I'll say what You want me to say, I'll do what You tell me to do, my life changed. I was already attending BAM at that time. I was filling in for Bishop when he went out of town, I was singing and playing my horn in the worship team. But I had not understood Daily in the Temple. When I said that every day since I have had opportunity to talk to someone about Jesus or do something God is asking me to do. Why? because I meant it in my heart and I also expect that. today I was ready to give up finding a good contact for the ministry. I said Lord I am done unless you lead me to someone. BOOM! He led me to 2 people that turned out to be 2 of the best contacts fo the three day show, I love God and it is so fun to be His son !

I like that statement Becky... God walking ... I might have to try that going for a God Walk. What will make us peculiar? What has God done in me? we have to have our eyes open to be able to see what God has done in us. When we are awake we will begin to see what God has done in us once we recognize what God has done in US because he is finishing the work that he started, then we will be able to tell it to others on our God Walk.
