(2 Tim. 2:15) It also says "iron sharpens iron." (Proverbs 27:17) Through discussion of the Word we can better understand it therefore, allow it to truly become life in our life. Pastor Aaron's message this week was dynamite! It blew open some places within me that I realized I said yes to defilement and did not realize it. What the defilement was is not important but I realized the root cause of saying yes to it was the fact I did not want to continue to argue about something and I allowed the defilement to remain in the situation instead of dealing with it and removing it from the equation! Sweeping it under the rug Christianity allows defilement in our temple because we think by sweeping it under the rug, it is not there because it is out of sight and out of mind. As we soon enter the feast of dedication, it is time to go through our house again and remove defilement and became a vessel of honor for God. Everyone likes houses that are decorated with artificial light this time of year but the light is temporary and fake!!!!!!! I am determined to be a temple full of the light of God by removing defilement within me. Soot on a candle jar diminishes the light of the candle. Soot inside our heart and eyes diminishes the light of God within us. My saying this season is "defilement, NOT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!" How do we do that???? By letting the Word become life in our life.

It would be so easy for me to start to teach here because I have done a lot of study in Daniel recently so I will pick out a couple things so that I stick to Pastor Aaron's message:) .

"Obedience to God's instructions, submission to His will, that's what changes me." I love that statement that Pastor Aaron made. If I really want to be undeflied than it takes more than knowing what God's word says and believing in who He is, it takes doing what He says and living my life for Him continually; just as Daniel did.

"Defilement ensnares us to not work with God but against Him and for the darkside." Another great statement! We cannot live our lives for the world, just going with the flow and according to the traditions of men and think that we are working with God, it's simply not the truth. In order to work with God, I have to do what He says, it's as simple as that.

So now I have to take a look and see any area of my life that I have not been obeying Him or in submission to His will because then I will see where I may have some defilement. I desire to be without spot or wrinkle before my God, so I repent when I need to, which is almost daily, and I once again purpose in my heart to serve Him continually and just as Min. Ryan said, let the Word become life in my life.

    Minister Ryan
You nailed it with this statement: " Soot inside our heart and eyes diminishes the light of God within us. " Yes there is a whole lot of sweeping going on! So we must be resolute Elder Christy? YES! Great answer to people that want to keep 1 foot in the world. Defiling themselves . A little defilement defiles the whole lump! (Gospel according to Mark).
