This was such a good message! There are so many really good nuggets that it would take an entire page to touch on just a bit of them so I'll touch on just one....

What am I passing on? I know that this message was a real message to the "Fathers" in the house as they are supposed to be the priest of the home and yet we all need to look and see what we're passing on whether to our children or to those we spend time with if we don't have children of our own. For me I had to look at my kids and I can see many things I passed on that are not good---the biggest and most obvious thing I passed on to all my kinds is the love of all the wrong kinds of food and not taking care of our bodies. My boys you cannot tell physically since they are both skinny, but they eat terrible; my daughter it's easier to tell since she takes after me physically---regardless of how they look, I passed on something that can truly affect their lives in a very negative way. I know I have passed on other things as well but what I grieve about the most is not that I passed on some bad things to my children, it's that I did not pass on enough good. I realized that I was never consistent enough with my kids to pray with them daily and read the word with them daily. Sure they would see me do it many times, and we would together as a family some times but not regularly. I did not pass down serving others because I took so long to get the heart of a servant myself. My boys are gone from the home and I can't do much to correct what I did not do and what I did do with them, but my daughter is still home and I can correct my mistakes with her. The absolute best things I can pass on to her is to love God and love others.

A moment with the presence of God and his input in our life stops the I don't know what to do. It stops the unknown unable to change the situation it gives us the Insight that we would never have on our own. So sometimes we just have to stop talking or shut up so that we can hear five minutes of us not telling God what's going on and five minutes of us listening to him telling us how to handle it will change our world. It will cause us to trust him and to know him and to rely on him more.
How many times have we missed our answer to our prayer because we've been busy telling God what we need.

A Word from God stops the world! So many things could happen in just one day and sometimes we don't take in to consideration to stop and just listen to God. A Word from God is priceless and could change any situation. This world can be so consuming and the things we consume ourselves with can bring on stress, depression, unhappiness.... But God if we could just consume ourselves with Him and His word Oh, image the greatness that could take place.

What is consuming me? Well, I started to watch this Spanish show called "Rebelde", wish means "Rebel" in English. So, I had seen this show already when I was younger 14 years old or so. For a straight month I was consumed by this show. I had to know who was going to date next or what event was going to take place on the next episode. The fact that I let myself get so consumed by this show was just craziness. I know why I did get so consumed and it was because I felt like I was missing this thing that the show had and I wanted it. I wanted this love that these couples we're giving to each other. Yep, it is not wise to compare! Comparing will have your feeling all messed up. I missed God, I missed His Word, I missed the opportunity to witness because of me wanting, comparing and wishing I had something.
I love what Rev. Connie said, God wants to stop the world because His observation is that the body of Christ is completely consumed. That is so right! I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about it. Rev. Connie also said, The more consume you are the more paralyzed you are! But a Word from God changes everything. The Word of God did change me. Hearing Bishop 30 minutes or less changed my way of thinking and I hardly which TV now. Trust me I don't need to be consumed with anything else on TV lol
But I just think God for His Word it was right on time.
