 Focus For The Month: Scripture Focus For The Month

This month I want to focus on: Are You Ready For His Return?

When you are expecting guests you clean the house, mow the lawn, prepare a meal, take out the trash, and put on your best. In case you have been so consumed with life and forgotten; The Lord said He would return!

Are you ready for His return? I am reminded of an old song; “I Wish We'd All Been Ready”. This month we celebrate the fall feasts of the Lord: “
Feast of Trumpets”, “Day of Atonement”, and “Feasts of Tabernacles.”

At the Feast of Trumpets the shofar sounds three distinct sounds. One is an alarm (
wake up and get ready) the second sound is a mourning sound; (regret for past missed opportunities to serve the Lord). And finally the third sound which is the coronation of the King. (have you made Jesus King and Lord of your life?

If Jesus was returning this month what would you change and what would you do to get ready? Is your house in order? Are you in right standing with God? Dress rehearsal is this month: BE READY!
Leviticus 23:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
Leviticus 23:23 "The Festival of Trumpets: is a time for all the people to meet together for worship; it is a time of remembrance, and is to be announced by loud blowing of trumpets. (TLB)
I Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober-minded
Joel 2:1 Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand:
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly;
16 Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.
17 Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar;
1 Corinthians 14:8 For if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
