A word of wisdom, a gift from the Holy Spirit.
I compared the gift of a word of wisdom to a carpenter's pencil.
It is a necessary tool that can be used to leave a mark precisely where it needs to be so that the building and construction can take place accurately.
It guides us where to cut and where to place things.
Wisdom is the principal thing we need to know what we're doing and how to do it and then we can pull out the rest of the gifts that are needed to complete what God wants to do.
A word of wisdom is a how-to guide that gives us direction and instruction for what we need to do.
We found that these come in different moments like:
During persecution.
It can separate us from worldly knowledge.
Everyday situations
When we're trying to share or understand God's word.
Steven spoke and shared powerful words
In James we learn that we can ask for a wisdom when we need it.
Jesus demonstrated words of wisdom that caused those that were trying to trap him in carefully crafted questions he left them speechless.
In Acts Peter and John when they were arrested for sharing the gospel and helping people, the Religious crowd was amazed that these fishermen spoke with such authority and wisdom.

Thank you Pastor Aaron for a great message that will be remembered in connection with the tool box and pencil--great props!
How do you see this gift working in your life now? This is one of the gifts I always felt was illusive. I would ask and not hear an answer so often. Now, I realize, I just may have not been in faith. believing I would receive. Yet, today, I was asked a question and the answer was right there and I knew it was a Word of Wisdom. It sounded different than I had imagined a Word of Wisdom would sound or be in the past, but that's the beauty of it--getting out of my box and simply…

Seeking more of Spirit of Wisdom for my day to day life… what would my life be like if we asked first before my way failed? Like Pastor Aaron mentioned, in the little things after a time, we can fall into the thought of “I don’t want to bother God with this, He’s got bigger things to do”. But, His eye is on the sparrow… wants to redeem our time, save us from cost and frustration, even in the little things.
I’ve touched this from time to time, or I should say He’s touched me, whether I’m building something physical or digital. An answer and solution right in time.…
How do you see this gift working in your life now? I see this gift can be working in my life daily now. That was my prayer this morning before heading to work. That I would use the gift that God has given and not my own human knowledge in dealing with people today.
What was your favorite nugget from this message? My favorite nugget from this message was the illustration of the pencil. That a word of wisdom can make a mark on someones life. It could let them see something differently that could cause them to draw closer to God.

How do you see this gift working in your life now?
For me personally, I see this gift working in my life in another level as I intercede for people. Before I would intercede and not hear a response, aka solution, when I was done interceding for people. Just yesterday afternoon as I was interceding for people in my harvest field, I heard a word of wisdom for those people when I was done. They have been searching and praying for answers for situations they are fa…
