-like most I find myself with all, but the one I feel the most is #6 Deeds done only to ease one conscious. I fear what people will think of me rather than God thinks of me. Because in my mind I tell myself "well God knows who I am because he knows everything. He knows my heart. He created me." But with people they know me by my works. They don't know me like God does they only know by works.

-we can talk about our faith all we want but without the action, demonstration that it is/has been making a difference in our life - those words are just dead- No proof of that faith-can't be multiplied... So that harvest that you've spoken into - - that witness is forgotten and dies.

Well I have experience all 8 at different times but lately the first one doing things out of obligation. I some times find myself thinking more about what others will think or say with my lack or best efforts and unfortunately my obedience is not on God it's worrying about others instead of me doing God's business. Second one is deed's done with out faith. Again I forget about God and when something happens unexpectedly I think wow John what a great Job like a self-centered pat on the back.I need to remember that all good that I put out and receive is…
Which one(s) of the Eight Reasons for Doing Dead Works did you find yourself doing?The two ways that dead works have had a hold in my life are because of fear of divine judgment and doing works without faith. There are times I find myself doing things because I know they are the right thing to do, but I don’t have faith in the process, yet I fear that if I don’t do them that divine judgement is waiting to just discard me. So it becomes a vicious circle of dead works that feels impossible to escape.
