I Love My Church - A Compelling Story of Invitation to Participation

I love my church!!! Do you love your church? God loves His Church because it is the Body of Christ, where all motion and action of God proceeds from. His Church is you and I individually and corporately. The time is NOW that He is sending His servants, you and I, out quickly into the streets, lanes of the city, and your harvest field to compel four groups of people, the poor, the maimed, the halt, and blind to come into the House of God, and experience God's presence and provision, Luke 14:16-35

After doing that we then quickly go into the highways and hedges to compel the same four groups to come into His House so it may be filled. Why did God tell His servants to go these four groups of people??? Because He loved them and wanted them to come into His House where the church could help them become what God intended for them to be. He needs you and I to love His Church as much as He does!! God loves His Church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Questions to discuss this week:

  1. What evidence in your life demonstrates the statement "I love my church?" is life in your life?

  2. What are the four groups of people God is sending you to fill His house? What are their needs?

  3. What are the two qualifications Jesus said we must have in order to be His disciples and to demonstrate that we are His servants compelling people to come into His house?

  4. What does it mean to you now when Jesus said "bear your cross and come after me?"

  5. Why will the gates of hell not prevail against His church?

  6. What were some aha moments from this message that are becoming life in your life?

If you love something you take care of it, you invest time and energy for it. You talk about it 24/7. "I love my church" isn't just a statement that I say just to get something out of it. I love my church because of the growth I've experienced. My church has done so much for me the least I can do is give back into it by helping take care of it. Watering the flowers outside of "church" time, replacing toilet paper in the women's restroom when it's not cleaning day, helping with toddlers when I'm not the teacher, etc. I have…

I love the way you simplified with, "Being poor is way deeper than just not having money"--it certainly is and many times we forget that!

What evidence in your life demonstrates the statement "I love my church?" is life in your life?

Last week I got to pray for a lady at her place of employment and yesterday I was able to go back there and I was hoping that she would be working and she was.  I was able to chat with her again and found out that after praying she was healed and was able to share that story with others.  I had prepared a letter and an invitation to join us on Sunday and during our conversation I gave that to her and formally invited her and the letter had all the details and information and times all written down in the…

Pastor Aaron, I loved that you prepared a letter as it showed intent ahead of time! I had not thought of that but it certainly shows your love for God's church.
