IN THE BEGINNING…
God made friends who would co-labor with Him to evangelize the nations.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Exodus19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests,
Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant
Remember, God's blessings of wealth, talent, ability, and gifts of the Spirit are for the main purpose of establishing His kingdom on the earth.

God created Adam and Eve, and us, in HIS image to be his friend, and to go out into the world and be a friend to others , along with being fruitful and multiplying.

I heard it so plainly in all of Bishops Friend messages and now I see these verses as this- God created us in His image to be His friend. Our purpose is to go into the world as a friend of God to others, and bring back more friends of God. The first command he gave man when he created him was the instructions on how to evangelize- be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, and have dominion.

Just like God places the seed of every tree inside of every tree he has placed the ability inside of us to perpetuate the next generation of followers and pursuers of God.
He's created each generation to not end but to pass it on.

My new understanding is that from the very beginning God gave us the ability to go beyond ourselves. When I read this before I seen it with the eyes of "ME." "I" can be fruitful and multiply, "I" can fill the earth and subdue it, etc.... Being able to see that God's original intentions was for me to use the blessings He gives me to take His Kingdom to someone else.
Even the point of "Created in His image" His image/ heart beat is giving to somebody else.

God's plan hasn't changed. I've been selfish with "be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion". For some reason, just imagining those instructions between me and God. No, He needs me in His image to follow His same plan and invite others into that same instruction.
